Come Unto Me
Some weeks leave us more tired than others.
Not only physically tired, but weary in our minds and hearts. Responsibilities pile up. Plans change. Difficult decisions have to be made. We carry concerns for our families, our homes, our work, and sometimes circumstances we simply cannot control.
Then we hear the precious invitation of Christ:
š āCome unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.ā ā Matthew 11:28 KJV
Notice where Jesus tells the weary to go.
āCome unto me.ā
Our true rest is found in Christ.
š¤ An Invitation for the Weary
Jesus does not say we must first get everything together.
He doesn’t tell us to solve every problem, finish every task, or understand every circumstance before coming to Him.
He simply says:
Come.
When your heart is heavyācome.
When you’re uncertain about tomorrowācome.
When you’ve carried something for far too longācome.
When you’re tired of trying to handle everything in your own strengthācome.
The invitation still stands.
š Sunday Rest

Today, make room to step away from some of the noise.
Open your Bible. Spend time in prayer. Gather with your church. Turn your attention away from everything demanding an answer and toward the One who already knows what tomorrow holds.
There will always be another task.
But there will never be anything more important than abiding in Christ and resting in Him.
ā Today’s Sunday Encouragement
Take a few quiet moments and ask yourself:
What am I carrying today that I need to bring to Christ?
Name it.
Pray about it.
Then remember His words:
āCome unto me.ā
What a precious invitation.
What a faithful Saviour.
What a wonderful place to rest. š¤
Come weary.
Come burdened.
Come just as you are.
Come unto Christ.
